Oatmeal cookies

Ingredients:
  • Flour:1 cup
  • butter or margarine:1 cup
  • brown sugar:1 cup
  • baking soda:1 tsp
  • quick cooking rolled oats:2 cups 
Method:
Mix the flour, butter or margarine, brown sugar, baking soda rolled oats in a large bowl. Then form the dough into one inch balls. Place each ball about 2 inches apart on a non greased cookies sheet. Grease the bottom of a cup with butter and dip it in a small bowl of brown sugar. Smash the ball of dough with your cup, planting on the sugar and flattening it. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes. Let the cookies cool for a couple of minutes before taking them off the sheet.
