Meat ball rice recipe




Ingredients:

• 250 grams Mutton (minced)
• 2 cup rice (soaked in warm water for 20-30 minutes)
• 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
• 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
• 1 teaspoon coriander powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
• 1/2 cup oil
• 2-3 Bay leaves
• 2 green cardamoms
• 1 black cardamoms
• 5-6 black black pepper
• 1 medium cinnamon stick
• 2-3 cloves
• 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 medium size onion
• 1/2 cup yogurt
• Fresh mint leaves few for garnish
Method: 
1- Grind together mutton mince, half of red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, salt and 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
2- Shape the mince mixture into small balls and refrigerate for half an hour. Now heat oil in a non stick pan and fry meat balls for 5 minutes.
3- In a shallow sauce pan heat 3-4 table spoon oil (can use same oil). Add bay leaves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, black peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant.
4- Slice the onions and add and sauté till lightly colored. Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and red chilli powder and sauté till 1 minute. Add yogurt and mix. Add meat ball and cook for 5-10 minutes.
5- Drain the rice and add to the masala. Add 1 cups of water and mix. Add salt and mix. Cover and cook.Stir lightly and cover and cook for 10-12 minutes. Keep stirring gently from time to time till both the rice and mince balls are cooked. Cover with lid and steam for 15 minutes.
6- Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot with tomato dip.
