There  is no birthday without cake.Home made cakes may sound like a difficult but with a little practice you can become perfect in baking cakes.Baking become popular among young girls when a number of women started professional cooking classes.
However, many still find cake baking a mess and disaster.Do not open the oven door every few minutes because that plays havoc with the temperature.Most cakes contain butter and margarine are not well beaten.Remember whichever type you bake,if you follow the directions given in a recipe book or you have seen on a cooking show ,you can be assured of success every time.Cake's mixture should be fluffy and smooth.All ingredients should be of room temperature.Preheat oven before placing cake mixture in it.Prepare tin or any container for mixture and place it in the right direction on the rack.
How to prepare cake mixture?
Try to use electric mixture for beating the cake mixture,use spatula or wooden spoon because it gives good beating to the ingredients and blend them thoroughly.If you want to add fruits and nuts, toss them in the flour,to prevent sinking.
What are the causes of cake failure?
The mixture of the cake may not be sufficiently beaten.Another reason is eggs are added too quickly without beaten.It will cause mixture to curdle.Do not use wet spoon or spatula.Cake will not rise properly if you bake it on high temperature or too low temperature.
