Chicken manchorian
Ingredients:
- Chicken meat(boneless): 1 kg
- crushed red chilies: 3 tbsp
- onion: 1 tbsp(finely chopped)
- garlic: 1 tbsp
- ginger: 1 tbsp
- lemon juice: 3 tbsp
- tomato ketchup: 1 cup
- eggs: 2
- chicken stock: 1 cup
- corn flour: 3 tbsp
- chines salt : 1 tbsp
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- soy sauce: 3 tbsp
- oil for fry.
Method:
Cut chicken into small pieces about one and half inch square shape. Mix together egg , soy sauce and corn flour and one tsp of salt. Mix in it chicken pieces and let it marinate for 10-20 minutes. Heat oil in a wok on a medium flame. Fry chicken pieces to a light golden brown.
Transfer pieces on a kitchen paper to remove extra oil, lightly brown chopped onion, stir in chopped garlic and ginger. Add chicken stock, tomato ketchup, lemon juice and salt to taste and black pepper. Let cook for one or two minutes. Now add fried chicken, stir to mix content thoroughly. Add Chinese salt. Let it cook for another one or two minutes. Serve with steaming boiled rice.
