Happy Summer

This is Summer Special Delight:
Mango Sorbet :-
(serves 6-8)
Ingredients:
  • I kg ripe mangoes, peeled and stoned
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum (sugar cane rum)
  • juice of two limes
Method:
Puree the mangoes flesh. Place the sugar and water in a saucepan, heat gently until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to simmer for a few minutes, remove from the heat and allow to cool. Add the cold syrup to the mango puree, rum and lime juice. Chill thoroughly and freeze according to the instructions on your ice cream maker. Garnish with berries or fresh cherries and sliced mango.
